Y'tro was the first Weyrlingmaster of Isla Weyr during the Tenth Pass. His dragon was brown Vreth.

Description

A well-built man, Y'tro had brown hair that he kept short and green eyes. His skin was fair but usually tanned from working in the sun with the Weyrlings.

Personality

Laid back and quiet, Y'tro was a fair and just Weyrlingmaster who took the responsibility of training the next generation of dragonriders seriously. While he could be relaxed with some situations, he was very strict with others due to the risk that dragonriders take while flying Thread.

Relationships

Romantic

Y'tro did not settle for a single weyrmate but he was favored by many of the greenriders at the Weyr. Besora and Alciona became pregnant due to mating flights between their dragons and Vreth. Both of Y'tro's children, Breyan and Triona, grew up and Impressed after jumping forward to the Eleventh Pass.

History

Yentrolan grew up at Fort Weyr, the son of a blue rider and green rider. He was fostered with other weyrbrats and rarely interacted with his parents. His mother had one other child, his half-sister Yarla, and his father had several more children with different women at the Weyr but never with Yentra so he had no full siblings.

When Yentrolan was eleven he was presented as a candidate at a queen's clutch and Impressed Vreth.

Y'tro was selected as one of the riders to join the group being sent to found Isla Weyr. While he never intended to become a Weyrlingmaster, Y'tro offered to train the young dragons early on. Despite his young age, Y'tro did have experience and became one of the best Weyrlingmasters, next to S'mar, Isla Weyr has ever known.
